September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and Bridging the Gaps of Arkansas is working to shine a light on the issue.
Executive Director Barbara Pitts Riley says the group provides resources across 12 Arkansas counties and encourages open conversations about warning signs. Amanda Bruce, who lost her daughter Ally to suicide, has launched the foundation Love Moore Loudly in her memory.
Bruce hopes the movement, starting in Texarkana, will help bring emotional learning into schools and reduce suicide rates.
