Authorities have identified Clyde Stephens II as the suspect in a double homicide that left two people dead in Bowie County on June 19. Investigators say Charles Beckham was shot multiple times after arriving home and interrupting a burglary. His body and truck were set on fire.
Later that day, Donna Culpepper arrived at Beckham’s home for a planned trip. She was also shot and killed, and her car was stolen. Stephens was later arrested in Searcy, Arkansas, driving Culpepper’s vehicle.
He is currently jailed in White County, Arkansas, and will face Capital Murder charges in Texas once extradited.
